Privacy policy

Updated September 20, 2026. This policy describes Loop, the household AI assistant operated by Existential Labs at agent.existentiallabs.ai. For privacy questions or a deletion request, contact karim@existentiallabs.ai.

Information we process

We process account and sign-in information, household membership and permissions, information you provide about people and preferences, conversations, uploaded documents, tasks, events and information returned by connections you authorize. We also keep operational records such as request timing, errors, action approvals and usage needed to operate and secure the service.

We use this information to provide the assistance you request, maintain your household’s context, enforce permissions, carry out approved actions, troubleshoot failures and account for service use. Loop is for adults; please provide information about another person only when you have authority to do so.

Google Calendar

Connecting Google Calendar is optional. Google asks you to authorize calendar-list access so you can select calendars. You choose either event reading or event reading with permission to propose changes. Loop applies your calendar selection and private or household visibility choices. Changes require approval in the app.

We process calendar identifiers and event information such as titles, times, descriptions and locations as needed for the requested feature. We store connection settings and encrypted access credentials. Relevant event information may appear in conversations, tasks and approved actions and may be sent to the AI processors powering that assistance. Google credentials are kept separately from the AI’s conversation context.

Gmail

Personal Gmail reading is not generally available. It is being tested with a separately authorized test account. Calendar consent does not authorize Gmail. Where Gmail is available, connecting it is optional and requires separate read-only Google permission, with a data-use explanation before you connect.

In your private app conversation, Loop can search for relevant messages and read their sender, subject, date and body. Supported PDF, PNG and JPEG attachments can be read through an isolated parser when that capability is available. Searches and reads are bounded; this connection does not automatically copy your entire mailbox. It cannot send, modify or delete Gmail messages.

Loop processes the requested email content on its servers and may send relevant text to the AI providers powering your request. Email and attachment results may remain in your private conversations and encrypted execution checkpoints. They are treated as untrusted source material and are not automatically published to your household. Google credentials are encrypted in a separate credential store and are not included in the AI’s conversation context.

Household visibility and service providers

Information shared in a household conversation is available to authorized household members. Private conversations and private connection permissions restrict access to the relevant adult. Adding a person to your People list does not grant access to their accounts or medical records.

Loop uses hosted infrastructure, rather than storing everything only on your device. Service providers include Fly.io for application execution, Vercel for the web app, Supabase for the database, Tigris for object storage, Resend for outgoing application email, and AWS for incoming application email and encrypted backups. Anthropic and OpenAI supply AI processing where used by the service. Information needed for your request may be processed by these providers; it is not end-to-end encrypted from Loop’s servers. Credentials are encrypted at rest and web connections use HTTPS.

We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness decisions or training generalized AI models. Transfers of Google data are limited to providing the user-facing features you request, security, legal requirements or other uses permitted by Google’s Limited Use requirements. Human access to Google data is limited to your affirmative permission for specific data, security investigation, legal obligations or permitted aggregated operational use.

Loop’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Disconnecting and deleting information

You can disconnect Calendar in the app’s Calendar connection settings or Gmail in Connections. This removes Loop’s local connection permission and attempts deletion of the stored credentials, retrying failed cleanup. Disconnecting Gmail in Loop does not disconnect Calendar. You can also revoke Google’s authorization from your Google Account connections; removing Loop there may revoke both Gmail and Calendar access for that Google account.

Disconnecting stops future access through that connection. It does not automatically erase previous conversations, execution checkpoints, retained tasks or audit records, and it does not delete messages or events from Google. Contact us to request deletion of your account or retained data. We will verify the request and explain any information that must be retained for security, accounting, legal obligations or another household member’s records.

We retain account content while it is needed to provide the service and handle these obligations. Deletion from active systems does not instantly remove copies in backups or operational logs. Those copies remain subject to the applicable backup and log retention cycles; we do not promise immediate erasure from all copies.

Changes and contact

We will update this page when our practices change. A new connection or materially different use of Google data requires the relevant disclosure and permission before that use. Contact karim@existentiallabs.ai with questions about access, correction or deletion.
